Church Demolition

About This Project

TenThirty. One returned to Loch Raven Presbyterian Church in Parkville, MD to document the demolition of their historic "Church House" — an 1880s-era farmhouse that had served the congregation as office and meeting space for over three decades. What began as a humble structure on the property in the late 19th century met its end in 2017, making way for the church's continued growth and modernization.

We were on site to capture every phase of the process, from the first swings of the excavator to the final cleanup of the grounds. The result is a raw, largely unedited look at demolition in motion — the kind of work that happens quietly behind the scenes but marks a significant moment in a community's history.

Whether it's groundbreaking construction or the deliberate end of something old, TenThirty. One is there to make sure it's documented right.
